Creative students who see themselves designing, producing, exhibiting or publishing multimedia content will want to pursue courses in the Arts, A/V Technology and Communcations Career Cluster. Media Arts falls under the Arts, A/V Technology & Communications Career Cluster.
You will apply artistic talent to practical problems and learn design principles, elements, storytelling and more that prepare you with the skills and techniques to work in any number of creative design and media arts fields. These include audio and video technology, printing technology, graphic design, digital film, photography and 3D design and animation and web design.
Students will gain related experience in their area of interest through internships, research, part-time jobs, volunteer positions, or community leadership positions. Students are encouraged supplement their coursework in a speciality that reflects their interest area (i.e., taking extra business courses if they see themselves entering the business world or starting their own business). Students will have an opportunity to investigate two and four year colleges and the the programs offered. This courses will give students an opportunity to learn soft skills, ability to present specific viewpoints, synthesize information, evaluate and present ideas, compare and contrast evidence, work with tight deadlines, rewrite and edit with others, interpret information, gather information and data; create compelling messages, tell a story and more.
